Due to a lack of time, I’m writing this post in English. But no worries, this won’t become a new habit! But somehow especially for this post, English suits quite well, since this way the whole world can read about my favourite make-up products.
As most of you already know, I prefer a natural+ look with a perfect, healthy and glowing complexion.
It is hard to catch this look with a simple Canon compact camera (yes, yes I am about to get a better camera, soon) but for now, you will have to make do with these pics and imagine the glowing and shiny subtitle colours described below.
This look is not only done with my favourite products, it is also my current office look (lipcolour varies).
Of course, all these products are not only based exclusively on natural ingredients, they also contain loads of organic ingredients.
Living Nature concealer in medium (D €23,5 NL €22 / 7 ml)
A light texture, great coverage and this one also works as a good e/s primer, that the living nature concealer. The texture is so light that just a little will go a long way. The tiny tube contains 7 ml (which is almost three times as much as most concealers contain). The finish is a bit dry, but it is perfect for over eye cream and for the upcoming summer or under a (mineral) foundation. The colour, btw, does get a bit lighter on the skin instead of darker. So light is reeeeeeeeeeeally light, therefore I go with medium.
RMS Beauty Living Luminizer (€38/4,25g)
Non sticky, and no smudge or glitter. The best highlighter you can get for a ‘just-got-out-of-a-yoga-lesson’ inner glow. Perfect to appear fresh and awake during early office hours. Not only does it give you a natural glow, it also contains loads of nourishing oils like organic ricinus oil, organic coconut oil, beeswax and rosemary oil. Living Luminizer is worth every single cent.
I gently press the highlighter on the cheekbones, under the eyebrows, above the lips, on the lips and yes: on my nose…. haha so almost everywhere 😉 (Check out this blogpost from beautyjagd for great swatches.)
Dr.Hauschka Lipstick in 03 as Rouge/ Bronzer (€16,50/ 4,5g)
My absolute favourite cream blush at the moment is this matt red-brownish lipstick by Dr.Hauschka. Using cream products like the lipstick (read blush) and the highlighter (see above) generally melts better with your skin, which leaves a more natural shine. I also get fewer blemishes than I do when using only powder products.
Dr.Hauschka Pure Care Cover Stick 03 sand (D€11 NL €12,50 /2g)
Dr.Hauschka has just recently released a new shade of their cover stick and they sent me a PR sample for my blog. A cover stick is not a really fancy product and at first I wasn’t really overwhelmed by this sample. BUT I was so positively surprised that the cover stick made it almost overnight into my favourites. The texture is creamy, the colour adjusts to your own skin colour and little blemishes disappear within a day, without leaving any dry spot like most other cover stick do. Oh and did I mention the great coverage? Perfect for use on the occasional spot, which we definitely all have every now and then.
I totally love the creamy soft texture, which blends with the skin like no other cover stick. I wish for a normal (not anti-blemish) concealer from the doc in exactly this quality. Last winter I used the RMS Beauty un-cover-up 22 concealer for under the eyes, which is a tiny bit too creamy for long lasting coverage. A concealer in this new cover stick quality would knock out all other concealers I have so far. So Dr.Hauschka listen to a cream make-up addicts – I know what I ‘m talking about 😉
Lakshmi Kajal / Eyeliner in 218 Taupe (€ 22,50/2g)
The ayurvedic kajals from Lakshmi contain camphor to enhance the eye’s natural protecting and soothing properties. Camphor has cooling and antibacterial properties and helps prevent inflammation and red capillaries, leaving the eyes bright and clear. Aside from camphor, this kajal contains demeter-Ghee, demeter butter-fat, bees wax, herbs (all purely organic) and mineral colours with the Ecocert-certificate.
But of course there is more to this great kajal/eyeliner than its fantastic ingredients and healing effects. The German-based 24-year-old brand Lakshmi creates the most wonderful shimmering and long-lasting eyeliner in great natural quality I have ever come across.
I am totally hooked on this warm-shimmery brown (taupe) colour. It is not too warm and not too cold, so it should fit all eye colours. (See this blogpost by Jana to see the colour on brown eyes)
Have a look at their online shop to check out their other 28 colours. All eyeliners are also available with an extra amount of camphor (cold variant) to soothe even the most irritated eyes.
Nvey Eco eyeshadow in 152 (D €26,50 NL €24,99/ 1,5g)
The Australian brand Nvey Ecohas a huge amount of organic ingredients in their all-natural make-up products. The products are generally very long lasting and super smooth to apply and don’t contain talcum. YAY! Nvey offers a great variety of colours that often have this extra shine without getting glittery. The warm golden peach is a great colour for a natural summer look. I will definitely get more from this brand!
- Foundation: Dr.Hauschka Translucent Foundation 01
- Lipstick: Dr.Hauschka lipstick 09
- Eyeshadow on the crease: Dr.Hauschka Stone Palette the light brown
RMS Beauty, Lakshmi, Nvey Eco, Living Nature are right now my absolute favourite make-up brand next to my all time favourite Dr.Hauschka. I know they are not cheap, but with good quality little goes a long way and I don’t regret a single cent spent on these products
